Exhorder reunited!

My tastes in music are pretty widespread with one basic guideline.. if its on the radio, I probably dont listen to it. Heck.. theres alot of music out there.. I’ll try anything.. and these days theres alot to sort through.. Im finding it harder to get into newer bands because.. lets face it.. most of them stink like a dead hooker in a mattress.

Many moons ago in Atlanta.. I was wondering in the BOOK NOOK in Riverdale and I stumbled on an odd-looking cassette in the dollar bin.

“EXHORDER - The law”

Being a dollar and looking for new music, I figure I try it.. along with some other equally odd-looking Death Metal tapes in there. All the other tapes were kind of poo. Exhorder was different. They had groove.

Metal enthusiasts cite Exhorder (from New Orleans) as the main influence behind Phil Anselmo and Pantera to change from glam rock to power groove metal. Sadly, Exhorder broke up about the same time CFH came out.

A few one off shows here and there over the years. I found a report today that they are back together and working on new material.

Rock… or should I say.. METAL!
